At the comment of his Shadow/Mosnter-fighting somehow applying to fighting game,s he snorted. "I doubt you want the controller through your console." He was good at hitting things with other, typically blunt things. Swinging an axe or hammer into something really didn't take much of a clue to figure out. Stupid button combination and sequencing did. "What the hell about fighting monsters and playing a damn game ain't so different?"
No, really, he wanted an answer for that.
He shook his head, settling back to watch as Yosuke explained and turned on the game, considering flipping down the blinds-- it looked dark, and it was hard as fuck to see because of it. "Don't say 'experience it together', it sounds gay," He noted casually, before suddenly stiffening at the shrill scream. It didn't so much frighten him as it did alert him, brows creasing as he glanced at the screen.
....And then to Yosuke, farther back and controller-less. He let out a sudden, rough laugh at the reaction, shaking his head. "Aw, shit. Really, Yosuke?" He reached over to shove the other man lightly, before pushing the controller back at him. It had been sudden, yeah, but nothing compared to the things he and Yosuke both had been through, right? He laughed again, "You piss on my bed, and I'll beat you, I swear it."

The rest of the conversation was put on hold after he threw the controller down. As for the answering laugh from Shinji, it was not really the most comforting as sounds. He did take the controller back with more than a little bit of a huff. "I'm calling it right now. No gay. Nothing said is gay from this point on, except if it comes from you." It was bit of a late jab at him, but he couldn't help but want to regain some of his pride that he lost some of his pride.
"And to answer your previous question, you're fighting to gain experience for the next fight. Picking up whatever might drop that could be helpful. Though, you seem to go the Kronk route and give the pieces to people, but same idea." Yes, he was deliberately ignoring the fact that he had a bit of a freak-out. Clicking through the usual menu screens, he would accept the fact that he was startled and leave it at that. Yeah, fuck you, game. I'll give you that, but I'm not done yet!

It was a damn TV after all. Definitely not the most important thing in the world.
Shinjiro waved a hand at Yosuke calling 'no homo'. "Yeah, whatever. I ain't the one saying awkward shit like that anyway." Which was true, he liked to think. Yosuke was always the one getting defensive about that sort of thing, anyway.
His brows furrowed- he pretty much understood that up until the 'kronk route' comment, though opted not to ask. "And try not to flip out playing it." His lips curved in a short smirk. he had a feeling Yosuke's reactions would be more entertaining than the game. "And if you need it, I bet Minako or someone'd let you borrow a teddy bear so you don't get too scared. You're still gonna have to go home to sleep, though."

"Flip out while playing it." He repeated it in a mocking manner, but he was annoyed that the other was not remotely freaked out about it. Yes, he could handle the Darkness and the Shadows with relative ease, but when it came to pixelated monsters -- Yosuke was not the braves of gamers.
Clicking through intro video and start screen, he tilted his head if he wanted to do Easy, Normal, or Hard. To save his pride, he decided to choose Hard as what they should do. I swear that you are going to freak out first, you--! His grip on the controller tightened that much more as he wouldn't allow himself to lose to either game or Shinji.
"Oh, is that so? You sure that you don't want me to stay here and make sure that you can get to sleep."

The game started, he shifted to get comfortable, crossing his arms behind his head as he laid back. "Fuck that. I'd have to kick Roland off the bed to make room for your fat ass." And Roland pissed him off less. Then again, the same could be said for nearly anyone. "If you're lucky you can take the couch downstairs. maybe the tub."
But definitely not in his room. That would be too weird.
