Shamefully, he was late. Quite late, in fact. Over half an hour. He'd entirely missed the original meeting area and ended up having to send a message to Aoi asking the location of the first stop in order to meet up with the group. His hands were shaking slightly as he made his way into the restaurant - a small, nice looking place called simply "West Coast" and scanning the area with his eyes.

It was humiliating to be late like this, and he had a feeling Aoi was displeased with him, but he couldn't help that his police work had run late - with that man threatening the police force, he couldn't help but stay to keep working on Intel for the investigation. Still, he felt guilty and ashamed to be arriving late to something that had been in his plans for over a week.

Spotting Aoi, he found the officiator of the group and handed over his ticket guiltily before going over to the table Aoi was seated at, ducking his head and closing his eyes.

"I apologize." he said, his voice sincere, "For making you wait."

It was anyone's guess how long Kazura would take, so Aoi had already helped himself to a glass of red wine. More often than not minutes turned into hours and by the time Kazura was home dinner was already cold and Aoi was falling asleep. When Kazura hurried into the restaurant fifteen minutes later than everyone else, Aoi simply waved him over.

"It's fine." The red wine had put a damper on his tongue anyway, the angry words he had wanted to exchange felt meaningless and empty now that Kazura was here and the night was already underway. Aoi was annoyed, but there really was no reason to crucify Kazura in front of the other guests- he was ashamed already.

"Just sit down and pour yourself a glass, it's good stuff." A pause, leaning back in the wooden chair. "How did it go?"

Aoi had obviously already had at least one glass of wine, and though he said it was fine, and invited Kazura to sit - he knew the man well enough. Aoi wasn't pleased, he was put out, and he had every reason to be. Kazura's lips pressed together, and he settled in across from the other man, his eyes averted to the side ( ... )

"Wooow..." Tifa looked around with a smile, taking in the sights and smells of a place she hadn't been before. It looked sleek and modern, with smooth metals and lacquered woods, and a waiter was already making his way towards them.

She'd dressed in a long grey dress for the occasion, with a slim jacket on overtop. It was one of the first times she didn't feel overdressed.
