Who: Allen and Seth.
When: Saturday, after Darkness.
Where: A few blocks from the Underground Mall.
Summary: They try to meet up for some conspiracies, and they get monsters instead. Rude.
Warnings: Violence, maybe?
The timing did make it easier to move around without the risk of being followed, and he didn't truly run any risk in going out in it, but...
Something squealed from his left and he had to whirl around to knock it down, which only made it squeal louder-- his left eye was throbbing, his Innocence activated and needle-clawed fingers spread, and it was when he continued on straight (he thought the Mall was this way - he had been wrong once already) that the noise from behind him started to fade, silence settled in, and that set him on edge more than anything else.
Because even if it was 'better' to travel after sirens, he didn't like it. Yes, he went into the Darkness often-- every night he didn't have to be at work, really, but he went into it without a destination in mind. Having a destination shouldn't have changed so much, but it did. He was already bad at directions, add in a lack of sun (a headache, a really bad headache and soreness that he'd thought sleeping would have gotten rid of but it didn't) to navigate with--
- And the silence was always, always a bad sign, because a few seconds after he could hear the sound of his own feet again, the elephant knocked a garbage bin into the road.
But that was exaggerating. It wasn't actually an elephant, it was just something the size of one: a gaping maw for a chest, no real head. No eyes, either, and it was only because of that that Allen managed to move out of the way in time, draw his arm back and look for a spot to strike. Ah, was he going to be late for this meeting--?
... Probably.
