Introductions happen here. rapturescreed January 5 2011, 21:57:05 UTC
[Raul was standing near the table, looking out on the small group that he had gathered here. To start things off, he was giving everyone enough time to meet each other, and get to know one another.]

As you all know, my name is Raul Creed. I am head of security here at Lion’s Gate, and previously, back home, I was head of security for my city. To make this easier, if you could introduce yourself to everyone, along with what you do while currently living in Siren’s Port, I believe will make sure that everyone knows who everyone else is.

[Once everyone introduced themselves, the meeting would begin, with everyone taking a seat at the round table.]

[Black Mask is sitting comfortably, his hands folded before him and resting on the table, and looking every bit like a businessman from hell. His eyes move around the table as he speaks, making contact with each of the attendants.]

Roman Sionis, business investor.

[It's quite awkward to be here, representing one side of the law, but sitting among others who are anything but. Still, he knows some of the faces, and introduces himself to those he doesn't, only making certain not to be the first to do so.]

Phoenix Wright. I'm a defense attorney, but my firm offers legal advice to newcomers in every field for no charge.

[He sits again.]

[Re-l sits near Fratley, legs crossed, NV open on her desk and turned off with the exception of the recorder she has for taking minutes. She glances around at everyone as well; their names have all appeared in her office at least once when their time was up at the Tower Apartments. She gives a slight smile, one that barely touches her lips.]

Re-l Mayer, newcomer case worker and police officer.

[Cohen sits comfortably in his chair, legs crossed and hands held in his lap, for now. Because we all know he'll become more animate the second a single word leaves his red painted lips. He peers at everyone through his mask, looking quite snappy in his black tuxedo. When introductions come to him, he favors everyone with a wide smile.]

Everyone~- [he begins, standing to make sure everyone saw him. He pulls the mask off, revealing his painted face.] - I am Sander Cohen, manager of the Felton Theater, maestro to my employees, and freelance artist to others - outside - the stage.

And I'd like to thank Mr. Creed for inviting us here today. It's a pleasure to see the faces of the Port's most influential newcomers.

[sits back down]

[Erik had felt the Null as soon as he has crossed it's sphere of influence, and had used the excuse for freshening in up to cover the loss of his senses. Taking a moment to adjust to the feeling of being blinded, deafened, and the loss of his metalsense - leaving him feeling as if he was feeling everything though a thick numbing gel. He felt if it tried hard enough he could overcome the Null but, for now, did not.

Regardless when he made his way to the table, he had recovered enough to effect being fine, appearing an elder dignitary, settling into his chair as easily as if it were a throne.]

Michael Xavier, emergency room doctor at Skye.

[A typical day, and his preference would have been to sit directly next to Re-l Mayer. Instead he was sitting somewhere across from her, so that from the 'head' of the table with Raul, and their positions, not an angle on any face would go unchecked.

Certainly, it was an alliance of citizens. Certainly, he'd already spoken to many of these people about their interests, and had more bureaucratic experience than any twenty-one year old doctor should.

But he'd put on the modest face, for those who didn't know he'd been a Chief Medical Director for a city before, following up fluidly after Dr. Xavier.]

Dr. Daedalus Yumeno. I also work at Skye Medical, in the Night Clinic.

[Susan stayed mostly silent, watching the introductions until it looked as if it were her turn. Putting a pleasant smile on her face, she spoke in an even tone.]

Susan Rodriguez. I'm a reporter and host of a new TV program, News, that will start broadcasting in a few weeks.

[She gave a sly smile.]

If there's anything you want off the record, I suggest letting me know upfront.

[Franz realizes that he actually feels bit duller when his powers don't make him give off that usual glow. He also isn't crazy about doing the political thing 'blind' without the ability to tell whether others are lying - what is the point in keeping quiet about the power if not times like these? Oh well. He had wanted to aid interplanetary relations long before arriving to this new world and new ability, so he would simply have to manage.]

I'm Franz d'Epinay. Back in Paris, I held the title of Baron and was studying to become a diplomat. Here, I'm Monsieur Creed's personal assistant. I'll be taking the minutes tonight.

[Franz is very, very aware that he's the youngest person in the room, but his demeanor hardly betrays this.]

[Franz's posture stiffens slightly when he hears Vincent - why does it always feel like the man's breathing right down his neck every time he's nearby, ugh! However, he remains focused on his task, his expression neutral. He'll talk to the guy later.]

[Edgeworth looks tired and haggard. He meets few eyes, instead watching the legal pad he's set before him.]

Miles Edgeworth. Prosecutor.

[ As the only visibly nonhuman individual in the room-- and probably, come to think of it, the least influential-- Fratley might have seemed a bit out of place. He wasn't in his uniform (and perhaps that was just as well) and he'd put his hat away for the moment, ears twitching warily as he regards the others.

He's seated by Re-l, since it's mostly by virtue of him being her partner that he's here at all. When his turn for introductions comes, he stands up smoothly-- though the way his tail curls suggests he's not as ease as he looks. ]

My name is Fratley. Formerly a Dragon Knight of Burmecia-- and now a police office of Siren's Port.

[Sam is sitting back in his chair, arms folded, eying people with a mixture of wariness and an attempt to look like he hasn't been through the ringer this week. Truthfully, it's throwing him off something hard. He doesn't even know some of these people. Who the hell is the skull guy, for one? Or the old guy?]

...Sam Merlotte. [he stays seated for the introduction.] I uh, used to run Club 24. [he hasn't made that little announcement yet, has he?]

Used to? [Daedalus says softly, not even meaning to make a point of it, but-

This is the first he's heard.]

[beard scratch, avoiding eye contact]

Sorta long story. [or rather, one he doesn't want to get into right now.] ...I'll be postin' about it sooner or later, promise.
