Who: Hitsugaya and Neji
When: December 30, after sirens
Where: Sector 6, the grounds where Neji works as a bodyguard.
Summary: It's business as usual for both of these guys. Neji is guarding what he needs to be guarding, and Hitsugaya is doing his own job. You know, complete with the sudden appearance of Darkness monsters, and all.
Warnings: Violence. Blood. Hey, it's a fight, okay?
Getting to Sector Six wasn't an issue. Shunpo made the trip a relatively quick one, even though the package in his arms was a bit on the weighty side and he was under strict instruction to be careful how he handled it. Which was annoying. In the time that he had worked for this damned service, had he been anything but careful? He didn't need a lecture.
He alighted at the edge of grounds he was to deliver to, senses on alert to anything that might be trying to lurk about. So far, he sensed nothing, but he would not relax his guard. Relaxing at any time during the Darkness was idiotic. The lot was a large one, and he was halfway across by the time that his decision to stay alert was vindicated.
At the first indication of a snarl, he balanced the package in his left hand, and fired off a kidou in the direction of the approaching monster. "Soukatsui!"
Blue flame flared from his fingertips and toward his target. He couldn't tell what kind of monster it was yet, but his aim was nonetheless true. A howl of pain came forth, and though the creature had been stunned, that hadn't lasted for long. It was coming for him again, and worse, he could sense at least two others lurking outside his field of vision. Damn it.
His free hand drew Hyourinmaru. He was going to need more than kidou to get through this.
