While the merry bells keep ringing

Summary: Dropping by with presents...'cause Christmas is for kids. And good citizens are a little overwhelmed by seasonal festivities.

Christmas was technically over and done with, unless you were playing by Tamaki's rule of twelve day celebrations...which may have been a bit much for the mostly-stoic former citizens of Romdeau.
But there were still a few good tidings to bring, not for the sake of keeping appearances so much as indulging a few younger girls, and keeping some casual contact in line before the New Year. Vincent Law had been left at home, for the sake of keeping peace on earth and goodwill between men. Daedalus navigated the apartment hallway with an armload of several wrapped gifts, weighted mostly by a children's encyclopedia set for the girls to share. An impulse purchase, made just yesterday. There were other boxes too, which had been done up neatly in bows right there in the department store, because Daedalus hadn't the time to fuss with tape and paper and ribbons himself.
Gilbert's cherry pie, chocolate pudding, and a slab of gingerbread were balanced precariously atop the pile; it was only a fraction of the baked goods that they had to eat through all of somehow, so it may as well be shared.
"Re-l...can you reach the bell for me?"
He couldn't quite angle his elbow properly. It was a surprise drop-in, but still the afternoon, so Raul would probably be home with the girls, and just about done with sleep.
