All the World's a Stage

Dec 15, 2010 15:20

Who: Dream & OTA
What: Drama class, etc
When: wednesday afternoon
Where: SP University (Performing Arts Centre)

Dream stood onstage at the front of the auditorium, his red shirt and tie contrasting with his black suit as he gestured grandly, possessing his space. His stage presence was such that he needed no microphone to amplify his voice, nor to capture the attention of his pupils. His cast. He could have transfixed them for days, if he chose.

The response to his casting call had been positive. His classes were nearly always full. He had decided that after 12th Night, he would begin holding auditions for Romeo & Juliet. A lovely tragedy for St. Valentine's day.

But in the meantime, comedy was the thing. Even if, with his particular leanings, it would be rather more of a dark comedy than some would have it portrayed. After all, one of the last bits of parting dialogue in Shalespeare's 12th Night was an oath of vengeance.
