Puppy like him? That thought never crossed Hope's mind at all, and still didn't as he beamed up at Vanille when she brought the treats. He hadn't wanted to start with that in the beginning, hoping the incentive of people down the stairs would be good enough, but Faith still seemed so hesitant... understandable, considering that the steps were just about as tall as him, but... he had gotten down the first one, so the rest should be fine!

Faith wiggled at the sight of treats, leaning his head over the step and lowering himself until his belly was touching the ground, extending his front paws out to try and reach those treats without success. He looked up at the humans and tried a pitiful whine, but then got up again and shook himself, waggling his tail as he went from one end of the step to the other looking for a point where the step wouldn't be as high.

Seeing none, though, he went back to his original place on the step and attempted to lower himself again, belly touching the ground as he scooted forward a little more each time and trying to feel for the landing with his paws.

A plop, and success! Faith immediately went to punish the treat for being so hard to get, gnawing on it and trying to shake the treat around, before deciding he wanted the other one and, very easily, went down the last step to try and stuff the other treat in his mouth as well.

"...Oh, wow." Hope deadpanned as he watched Faith attempt to fight with his food, feeling silly now about not using treats. "That went over really well, then."
