Finally. Months of preparation had led to this, and Samus was practically ready to jump out of her own skin at the chance to take a dive. Even if her info had proven to be completely wrong, at least she'd know one way or the other...and it wasn't wrong.
The padded diving suit had been pulled on over her Zero Suit. She'd thought to maybe leave it with Jinx, but in the end had decided the extra protection would be well worth it. A double oxygen tank was ready to go, along with a titanium breathing apparatus complete with redundancy.
The rest of her equipment was laid out before her on the floor of the Darkness proofed Ice Fishing hut that had been the final piece. Geiger counter, wireless cameras, hand held cameras, the Paralyzer, a wrist mounted keyboard for communicating...
...all that remained was her team.
