Straddle the line in discord and rhyme...

Who: Big Boss (heavendivided ) and Jinx (hexyoutotuesday )
When: February 16th, night.
Where: The streets of Sector 4
Summary: Jinx gets herself into something she can't bail herself out of.
Warnings: Violence, mind blowing awesomeness, and ooze monsters.

For several days now she had been at this. Jinx barely napped during the day in the apartment the city gave her, and at night she went hunting. At first it was a fun game to her. She would beat up monsters, tear up the city, just have a little fun. Yet now, it she was hunting for something she swore was hunting her. Something had been following her night after night; she could just feel it. Shadows in her peripheral, sudden movements that caught her attention, but never a full creature. It made her feel like prey, and Jinx did not like it one bit. She intended to find this thing and rip it to pieces, but on the way she continued to encounter monster after monster.

Wandering down the darkened streets now, the young sorceress looked to be in bad shape. Bloody gauze was wrapped tightly around her knees and hands. Her dress was torn and bloodstained. Gray skin was covered in bruises beneath her dress, dark circles decorated below her eyes. The small creature was exhausted, but driven and persistent. Tonight she swore she was going to rip to pieces anything that got in her way.

After hexing her way through a crowd of mutated humanoid things, something caught the corner of her eye again. Against any natural instincts of self preservation, she pursued. She was nimble, graceful, and reckless. Without thinking about what could be beyond corners, she turned them without looking first, chasing a figment. And that was what got her caught.

Skidding around a corner, her slit pupils searched the skies for something out of the ordinary. With focus on something she was searching for, she did not see what was right there in front of her. Something black, oozing, and large enough to consume her. Jinx was unaware of its presence until it attacked. She set her gaze on it just in time to see a pair of glowing eyes, and feel a tentacle of some sort wrap around her neck. After crying out rather loudly, she fought to breathe. Her hands grasped at what held her; she dug her claws deeply into the repulsive smelling flesh. Her boots scraped along the pavement as it pulled her toward its mouth, and she struggled. Yowling, she tried to get the focus to hex the son of a bitch into next week, but it was hard enough to even think straight with the lack of air to her brain.

jinx, big boss
