[Still wandering around the aisles, she heads into the canned food. That's all pretty cheap, after all]

[Shinjiro spares a glance as someone else stepped into the aisle, idly noting the sort-of Japanese outfit. It was almost a relief, really-- as strange a sit was to see someone wearing something like that, especially out to a damn grocery store, it helped remind him at his home was definitely not unheard of here. He quickly turns back to what he had been doing, because obviously trying to find the ideal filling for onigiri this time of year was a pressing concern. More pressing of a concern than anything else he had right now, after all, except for maybe the strange man who had come to live at the dorm, and Ken's return.

Until, of course, the items on the shelf begin to rumble ever-so-faintly, tremors quickly growing.

Earthquakes definitely weren't unheard of for Shinjiro, and he knew just enough to be aware that a grocery store was not the greatest place to be standing when they hit. He takes a half step backwards, brows creasing at the rumbling shelf and apparently heedless of the matching one behind him.]

[Maya's used to earthquakes. They're a common occurance back in LA - and they even felt them in Kurain sometimes. But there's a person in the aisle with her, and the shelves--

She moves without thinking, grabbing hold of the stranger's arm and tugging with all her strength]

[Shinjiro liked to think he had pretty decent reflexes-- enough to keep him doing alright fighting monsters. And yet by the time he went to move, there was a little girl grabbing his arm. He moves with her quickly as the shelf behind them wavers harder, sending an avalanche of foodstuffs and canned eggplants into the aisle. He glanced over the scene, before looking to Maya, as though to assure himself she was alright.]

...You okay? Keep moving, somewhere more open. ['Thanks' could wait for later, when the tremors had stopped.]

[Maya's flinches a little at the sound of the cans crashing to the ground - but before she can respond, the power suddenly goes out. Instinctively she tightens her grip on his arm, panicking now that she can't see.]

A-Ah...! W-Which way is out?

That looks TOTALLY FINE TO ME

[His back stiffens at the power outage, instantly pulling out his NV and flicking a button to light the screen-- it's not much light, but enough to hopefully make her more comfortable-- mostly so she didn't cut off circulation to his arm.]

Calm down, this way. [He wished he had any Persona skills that could be useful, but all Castor could do would be break down a damn wall. Instead he walked towards where he remembered the front of the aisle being-- and where the most noise from people running was coming from.] Just don't trip over anything, alright?

[And a long, awkward pause.] ...It's Shinjiro, by the way. [Because if he was going to be leading some girl out of the store, at least he could tell her his name.]

[When the light goes on, she suddenly realizes she's still holding onto him, and quickly lets go]

S-sorry...!

[She follows closely after him, trying not to stumble - and to keep her cool. They needed to get out of here, fast]

You're fine, relax. [There were plenty of things on the floor- cans and boxes, for the most part, it felt like, and he held the NV at at arm's length, occasionally flicking the volume button to keep it from turning off.]

...Thanks for that, by the way. [Besides, it helped remind him that he needed to talk to Dr. Yumeno about maybe not being on the medication... and talk to Ikutsuki to see if real Suppressants were a possibility. He couldn't risk his reflexes being this bad any more.]

Front of the store's up here, pretty sure.

[Maya nearly crashes into him a few times, but manages to calm a little, mostly because he's so calm]

Ah... Thank you... [She'll feel better once they're out, but for the moment, she isn't very talkative]

[Well, a dark grocery store was preferable to a grocery store during Darkness, really. Or Tartarus. He continued walking, pausing every so often as someone rushed by, or to shove over a tumbled display and at least get them to where light was shining in through the front windows.]

I'm fine. [Maybe a bruise, but he didn't care. Castor's regeneration was ace, anyway.] Nothing that'll bother me. You?

[The other people around makes this both better and worse. Some are still panicking, which doesn't exactly put her at ease - but even though it's dark, it's not like anyone is going to come after her with a dagger. ...Right?]

I'm okay. I just... I get nervous when I can't see.

[He paused at the comment, expression softening a bit. After a moment, he held his NV out for her.] ...'Til we get outside, it'll at least be a bit've light. Hold onto it, okay?

[It was probably just because of a fear of the dark reminded him so much of Miki.] We'll be outside in a second. [Though there was still a rush of people clamoring to get into the street and away from the confines of the building.]

O-Okay. Thank you.

[She feels ashamed of herself for getting so worked up over being in the dark, but it's a nice gesture from a stranger, so there's that. She's a little moved, honestly.]

Alright. I hope everyone else is okay, too...

People in here seem alright... [Though he does make a mental note to check up on Aki and Mitsuru-- and Roland. And the rest of the dorm, too.] Shit'll be bad if the power stays out tonight, though.

Yeah... but when this happened back home, the power wasn't out for too long, so...

[Now that she's composing herself slowly, she's remembering the others]

No, I should check on Nick and Mr. Godot and Mr. Edgeworth. ... Especially Mr. Edgeworth.

[He paused for a moment- so she knew Edgeworth too? Granted, there didn't seem to be many people in the city who hadn't at least heard of him, but she spoke as if she knew something.]
