In dealing with Wolverine pups...

Oct 27, 2010 21:35

Who: Magneto and Jubilee
When: Wednesday evening
Where: Their home
Summary: Magneto and Jubilee have some bonding time. The world should be afraid
Warnings: Probably not? Emo-ness maybe?

Erik was worried. He'd seen X-Men survive a lot, including the children 'surviving' death. He'd seen soldiers fall apart after years of battle. And he was worried about Jubilee. The problem was he simply didn't know what to do.

Part of it was that he simply didn't know the girl that well, and success with patients, the new mutants under his care, his recent care of Wicked - he just wasn't sure of himself. And then where was a complicating factor. Wolverine. He was aware the man hated him - the feeling was almost mutual. What he'd done to Wolverine hadn't really been about him, although he had to wonder what he'd been thinking in attacking Magneto of all people - it would have been far easier to limb limbs and his head away that what he had done to the other mutant. But he had lived, recovered, and eventually recovered what he'd lost. But the injuries Magneto had suffered had left him unable to defend Genosha. And his nation, his people, had been annihilated for it. Erik wouldn't deny a certain amount of hatred towards Wolverine for that.

However, Jubilee looked to him as father. Perhaps as her father, since she'd lost her parents so young.

Looking on it - they had probably been about the same age, he and her. Children alone. And fighting for their survival pretty much every since. Maybe they had something in common.

So picked up his coffee mug and walked into the room where she had retreated, knocking on the door jam, more than willing to ignore an order to go away - but for now, trying to be polite.

magneto, jubilee
