The setup had been being worked on all morning - there were 15 small stages throughout the few blocks closed off for the festival, food booths had been set up offering everything from lemonade to mini-donuts to corndogs to pizza slices, and bands were doing sound checks and tests. The music festival was set up to be a fun outing for anyone, with over 50 small local bands playing various types of ethnic music. One could find just about anything there, as far as music taste went, and the bands expected crowds of people wandering from stage to stage, dancing, and general fun to be had by all.

Among the food stalls and stages, various merchants offering jewelry, CDs and mp3 downloads of the bands' music for small prices, and many other kinds of little independent booths were being set up - and scattered throughout the crowds were security hired by the City, and policemen. They were scouring the crowd, watching out for pickpockets, troublemakers, and any kind of small toxic rodents that might happen through.

At 7am sharp, the bands were setting up for the first performance of the day, and the gates were open to anyone who wanted to wander through!
