It just so happened that a little red blur was also hoping to catch this particular elevator up. Lily had been out and about as usual, generally exploring the city the best she could while getting distracted by every other shiny thing down the path, and getting to know her neighbors by running small errands for them for food money. It was a worthwhile arrangement, since it didn't require her to do anything other than what she usually did, and she was able to eat because of that. For unlike Bandersnatch, she couldn't just feed on dead things (or things that still lived, since it was Bandersnatch), and she had to find some way to support herself while the other Baskervilles were not around and about. Thankfully, she was resourceful.

But yes, she was hoping to catch that particular elevator, not only because she disliked waiting (though she did), nor because the elevator waits were long (they weren't, but they often seemed like it to the eleven-year-old look-alike), but because she had noticed the certain coattails of a very familiar man, and had wanted to say hi.

The moment the elevator closed, she skittered to a stop within, and beamed up at her friend Liam Lunettes with a smile found only on newborn kittens and seasoned conmen.

"Floor nine, please!"
