We never get respect, never a fair trial

Aug 27, 2010 18:21

Who: Ken and Shinji
When: August 27, afternoon
Where: P3Place
Summary: An intensely awkward conversation between a shota and the guy he can't stand
Warnings: Fail and awkward. Oh, and P3 spoilers

Ken didn't want to stay in this apartment. At the dorms, he could avoid Shinji except for the times he had to seem polite by talking to him, but here there was no privacy or roon to himself. He couldn't get away from him and couldn't stop hating him for being alive when he would have been dead if he'd stayed at home just another day. Well, Ken thought they'd both be dead if he'd stayed home, but that was still an even bigger secret than his wish to get revenge.

He knew that Mitsuru wouldn't let him leave, as much as he wanted to. Ken was just a kid, after all, and kids weren't supposed to stay on their own, especially not in a strange place where he wasn't even supposed to use his Persona if he got caught out night around monsters. They'd never think of him as anything other than a kid they had to take care of, no matter how much he trained.

Frustrated, but with little to do about it, he stretched out on the living room floor and used the puppy as a temporary pillow.
