Who:
hellsing_heir and
atrumcanis When: Late Afternoon!
Where: Tower Apartments!
Summary: Sirius goes to meet a Knight. Instead he gets a little girl.
Warnings: None so far!
(
She was about to meet someone she had never met before without her butler or vampire at hand. )
Sirius slumped down in the chair a bit more, almost unconsciously contrasting poor posture. Merlin, more jumped-up little wealthy brats--that was just what this place needed.
"You know," he said casually, "I think I can believe that you've money to your name. I might even be able to believe that you're a knight of some sort, as bitsy as you are." Really, he should feel badly about this--but he didn't. Well, maybe a small bit of him felt badly, but that was only because of her age and the very girlishness of her. That little frown--
Ah, well, it was too late now. There was nothing else for it but to finish.
"Right. So." Sirius stood up and stretched with a huge yawn. "Par-don me. I s'ppose if it's a matter of the estate, I should be able to help you. Put your arms up."

Integra raised her arms as high as she could, fingers reaching up toward the sky. This was...kind of strange, but oh well. "Like this?"

He licked one finger and held it up, testing the wind. A pause, a nod, still very serious (haha, very Sirius). "Looks about.... twenty, twenty-five.... And a few--well, there's those buildings to consider--step to the right, would you? And close your eyes. Wouldn't want you to get ill, it's a bit shocking."

"Ok!" A determined response, as the girl moved over and squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to mess this up. Mister. Severus Snape hadn't named a price, but if he did a good job she would most certainly be sure to pay him back. She did not want to be indebted to anybody, after all.

"All right," he said slowly, "hang on just a second more--" Well, five seconds--maybe ten. How long would she stand there with her eyes shut and those little hands in the air? She'd probably linger that way forever and ever if he didn't speak up--poor, poor stupid kid.
Sirius leaned forward and flicked his fingers against her nose very deliberately, quite hard. "Presto."

"!!!" The girl stumbled back at the hard flick to her nose out of surprise, hands coming down to push Sirius' own away reflexively. Her eyes opened wide as she looked at him for a moment, before flicking around to find-
...Nothing. The same place she had been before.
She knew instantly that she had been had, and she set her mouth into a tight line, turning back to the man with a brief moment of pure ice cold anger in blue eyes behind her glasses. 'Calm calm calm down Integra you're better than this.' "You-" She started, then snapped her mouth closed before saying anything else.

"What, still here?" That grin again--oh, it was an awful one; even he was aware of that. He made a show of looking at his hand--shook out his fingers as if trying to shock them into action. "Well! Must be a bit of a malfunction, Sir Hellsing. For being a knight, you aren't clever by a half, are you?"
Coming down from that initial glee at a trick well played, now, and Sirius' smile settled into something just a bit kinder. "Lesson the first, I s'ppose, is that no one's able to leave this place--else we all would have shuffled off long ago. Or didn't you think of that?"

"It would of been more foolish to just believe that one couldn't because a few people said so." She retorted, voice tight. Twelve is to old to cry, damn it all, even moreso when you were a night. Of this she kept reminding herself, and it helped her not jump off into a tantrum in that very moment. She would give this arse a few more minutes of her time before leaving, just to show that his stupid trick wasn't going to throw her off, or make her act like a child.

Well, she really was quite small. An it was too late to go back on it now, Sirius reminded himself yet again--but, still.
"Sorry I haven't got a means home for you," he said with the slightest bit of sincerity. That couldn't stand on its own, of course, so he was quick to follow it up. "I s'ppose you'll just have to trust that the servants won't be pocketing the silver while you're here, or whatever it is that you were concerned about. Do try not to fuss about it, though. You wouldn't want to draw any unneeded attention to yourself, after all." One last stab at scaring her wouldn't hurt, would it?

...Well, she had fallen for it, had she not? Integra snorted and looked away, realizing this before the other had to say anything. Her Father would of been disappointed she had gone along with it. Alucard would of just found it amusing. That was what she got for not taking everything into account, it seemed. The girl looked back at him, eyes set. "I won't fall for foolish tricks again, but I will find a way to go home."
Severus acted like he expected her to stay here, it wasn't going to happen!

He leaned back a bit to get a better measure of her. Pretty titchy. Twelve years old--really. This place took all kinds. True, most of those kinds were able to do something to hold their own--and true, at twelve, Sirius would have been equally full of the same bravado about his capability of returning home from some mad place like this--but that wasn't the point, was it? Delusion didn't do anyone a bit of good, in a place like this.
"You keep thinking that you'll be going home, and you'll soon be disappointed. Best face the facts now, Miss Sir, you're trapped here, same as the rest of us. Unless you've some special ability, wherein you're able to find some mysterious and long-lost object of unknown origin and size, and repair--which I think is a bit too much to hope." He raised one eyebrow at her. "And if I'm right about that, I'd suggest you beat it straight back up the stairs to your little flat. You've a great many other things to think about now."

Hell, a month did at that. After the mess with her uncle attempting to kill her and Alucard bonding to her, if Integra had been any older she would of sworn the whole ordeal would of given her gray hairs. But, at the mention of this object-Was that the Core the Greeter had spoken of? Her interest was perked, but Integra would not have anything more to do with this man. She would have to find out later.
Instead, she merely nodded her head, pulling out a rather forced - "Have a good day." Between her teeth before turning on her heel and heading back inside, still seething, both at him and herself.
...Stupid!
