It was a nice place, was Tyki's thought, pretty much entirely independent of Allen's thinking. Most of what he'd been doing these days was pretty independent of Allen, including scouting out watering holes and good (and cheap) places to eat between jobs, which would probably pick up here, not that he was exactly anxious for that ( ... )

The door might have opened, but Allen didn't give it more than a mental note-- food was food, and even a slightly ominous feeling and itch in his left eye didn't get him to look up right then. Siren's Port had kept him up for nights with the Darkness crawling around outside; and during the day, he'd inadvertently found himself meeting with a good number of... dark magic users. It wasn't pleasant, but it was something to become used to. At least his arm didn't hurt as much (probably had something to do with the lack of an Earl, though he didn't want to think about that ( ... )

And, oh - there the kid was now. And it looked like he'd been spotted.

Well, there was no point skulking around in the shadows, if he'd been seen already. He'd been looking just for a meal, really, but if Tyki thought about it he wouldn't be turning down any fights that came up, either. It'd been a long time in some ways since he came at this kid, and it hadn't exactly been a fight before, had it?

So, he gave Allen one of those feline little smirks and a little wave, before making his way towards the kid's table. Eating alone was no fun, right? Allen looked like someone had walked over his grave, though. Tyki couldn't say he didn't enjoy the look.

Now, Allen could muster up a smile for any occasion, even random Noah meetings in perfectly fine cafes. But if Tyki was going to smirk and not even play at being nice, then he would return the favor-- and watch with a small, growing frown as the man came closer. Those marks of the Noah were still around his head. You had to accuse Allen for staring a bit- the timeline businesses were... strange, but Tyki seemed to be the most off. If he was telling the truth.

Which he had no reason not to, he decided. Right after dropping the rest of his food (mentally forlorn) and looking up at the man with only a smidgen of unease. Timcanpy was practically hanging off his shoulder. "Hello." Always the gentleman, you see. Making a scene would disrupt the rest of the costumers. He was a bit tempted to pretend he didn't know the man, but-- "Did you come here to eat, Tyki?"
