Well, the fact that they just got snuffed out all of a sudden scared me at first, but it could have been worse. They could have gone out of control instead and I'd have ended up hurting a lot of people. And I generally don't go out in the Darkness much anyway.

It's not so bad, really. I don't have to worry about accidentally destroying things now.

[His face softens into something a little more nostalgic.] Yeah, I guess I do, too. That got fun after I quit being afraid of heights.

And yeah, there was the flying, and also superhuman speed and strength that were part of my power. And in the powered-up state, I'd sometimes mess up control a little and end up breaking things.
