At this point, I expect most people have seen the newsfeed about the city signing over the rights to the Tower Apartments to SERO and AGI. The first thing I would like everyone to do is calm down. There will be no rioting in the streets, and there will be no acts of terrorism committed because of this. We as Newcomers, and we as citizens of this island have had enough of both, and neither will solve anything. I will go on the record now as stating that the Newcomer Political party will not condone the actions of anyone who attempts to solve this by violence.
[A pause, bringing some papers into view as he glances to the side for a moment before looking back.]
Now, I have been on the phone with the Public Relations of both companies, and they have agreed to hear us state a case as to why the Newcomers should be in charge of the Tower Apartments instead of the companies. And when I say us I do not mean the NPP. I mean all of you; the Newcomers themselves. I know that all of you have concerns and have a vested interest in who owns the apartments, seeing as many of our Newcomers still live there, and it is the place where we are all sent to to live our first month in the Port.
I did not plan to make this announcement just yet, but the Newcomer Community Center is now finished, with the clinic and offices still being worked on. This is where the open meeting of the Newcomers will be held; the topic being the Tower Apartments. There will be a representative from both companies there, and they have agreed to hear us out at this meeting.
I put a call out to all Newcomers to come to this meeting and let your voice be heard; your concerns and suggestions as to how to fix this will be appreciated, and everything you say will be taken under consideration. This meeting is not a meeting to criticize the companies, but to find a way to work with them to achieve our desired goals.
The meeting will be held in the Community Center at four o’clock this afternoon. If you cannot make it, the entire meeting will be recorded, and anyone who asks will have copies made for them. Again, I urge you all to come and let your voice be heard.
If there are any other questions, I will answer them as best I can right now.

I am aware that this is on extremely short notice, but I expect all of you to be there; the seven of us make up the head committee, seeing as some of our members have gone a little rogue, and several have also left the island. There will be time to decide if we want more people in the head committee, and we will have a vote later, but for now, we need to stand united for this meeting.

I'm going to need you to take minutes again. Also, whoever you would like, take them and set up the main room for the meeting; we need chairs for people to sit on, the podium in the middle, and then a table and chairs for the committee. Getting things ready takes priority.
