[It's rare that he even bothers to make a post to the network system. Even if he does, it's usually locked with enough privacy filters to ensure that no one but the Espada can see. This time around there is no point in hiding, several Shinigami have left over the last few days and he just does not see a point anymore. Ulquiorra is apathetic as ever ( Read more... )

[ Ulquiorra hiding fuck knew where and not showing his face for days? Not really out of the ordinary.

Telling people about it? That's weird. And Grimmjow, already sick to death (heh) of the quiet and the growing emptiness of the already too-big castle, is just bored (and just reckless) enough to go looking for him.

No, he doesn't knock when he waltzes into the room. ]

[Well, if he was looking for a good time the Sexta wasn't going to find it in Ulquiorra's room. Unless, his idea of a good time suddenly included reading and sitting in absolute silence.

The Cuatra chooses to take the ignore him and maybe he'll go away approach this time.]

What the hell is your deal?

[ Beating around the bush: Grimmjow doesn't do it. ]

[Grimmjow's reply comes in the form of a simple turn of a page in the newspaper he is reading. Yes the NV system does act as a up to date and immediate news source, but Ulquiorra is fond of paper and reading actual material you can touch. After another rustle of the papers he finally responds.]

Reading.

[He knows Grimmjow is there to be a pain in the ass. So, if he can't have his peace and quiet he's going to take his time when it comes to dealing with Grimmjow.]

Why?

[ Impatience cause tension to catch and hold in his shoulders, but dealing with the lawyer (and all his friends, and all the rest of the city) day after day have granted him some patience.

Some. ]

In order to properly gauge a situation one must exhaust all possible venues of knowledge.

[Prepare to have that patience thoroughly tested Grimmjow.]

Oh yeah?

Then what're you reading?

The Classifieds.

[Yes, Grimmjow he was reading the papers in an attempt to search for applicable jobs. Run now while you can. It's your last chance.]

[ The answer blindsides him for a moment, requiring a few seconds of thinking just to weigh the possibility that Ulquiorra might be telling the truth. ]

...what the hell for?

[Oh he's serious, about as serious as increased amount of spiritual energy coming off him.]

A job can provide us with physical assets that we may require in the future. We can not sit and wait to see if the Core will grant us another financial boon.

Not to mention there are some of us [you] who would benefit from being occupied for a period of time during the day or evening.

That's bullshit. All of it.

[ His fingers curl into fists, his own reiatsu beginning to increase - a sure sign of an impending burst of temper. ] When did it suddenly become okay to lower ourselves like that?

This will not be the first time you have lowered yourself, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez.

[Nor would it be the last. Grimmjow always seemed to make enough trouble to keep the Trecera and himself busy. To further make his point, he reaches down to the small silver bracelet on his wrist. There's a soft beep before a familiar video is projected into the air between them. That's only one of many examples he can offer really.]

[ Bristles instantly and grabs Ulquiorra by the collar, dragging him up to his level. ] That's not the same and you fucking know it. Toying with the ignorant little shits isn't serving them.

[Before the newspaper have a chance to even rustle to their way on the floor, he already has a hand firmly wrapped around Grimmjow's wrist and is twisting it away from his collar as he lifts himself off the white sofa.]

Consider it a lesson then, one that will help teach you not to break your toys in the future.

[He continues to twist as he steps closer to Grimmjow.]

You're behavior since Aizen-sama's departure has done nothing but draw unnecessary attention to us.

[ God, still so fucking strong - it pisses him off, just as, if not more than, it always has. He bares his teeth, his blood starting to boil. ]

At least I'm not bowing to humans like some pathetic dog!

[He knew it was coming even before Grimmjow pulled back his free arm. The Sexta as predictable as he was stupid. All Ulquiorra has to do is move his head back a fraction of an inch in order to ensure that he misses. Afterward, it was a matter of just using the momentum Grimmjow had already built up to send his body hurtling towards the nearest wall. Szayel's modifications to the structural integrity of the house will ensure nothing will crack too hard when he forces Grimmjow into it face first.]

Consider yourself lucky, Grimmjow that we are no longer within Hueco Mundo. I tolerate your insolence only because our numbers are so few and you still have your uses. However ... you will remember your place.
