I'm...admittedly largely unfamiliar with the law beyond my own city, but Re-l's already working within law enforcement, so it's nothing so far beyond my comprehension. Government- well, I've worked closely with Romdeau's other central administrative bureaus, but again, my experience is limited beyond our system.

As for Sociology- I'm first and foremost a scientist of human biology, but I understand the general principles of social sciences, macro systems. I've read a fair amount of philosophy. Never educated anyone on it, beyond breaking down the basics, but...what is it you're looking to do?
