Did you ever just wake up and feel really happy, even though there's a lot not to be happy about? I mean, being here is still really scary and I still miss home, but...
Even if there are really bad people here, I think it's important to remember that there are lots of nice people, too. People who want to help! And it can be really easy to keep thinking about how you don't like it here, but you should remember that at least there are other people who are here who are having the same problem as you are. None of us are really alone, even if there isn't anybody from home here with us, so even when things get hard, you shouldn't be scared! There are really good things about this city, too - lots of the people are really good, and there's a lot more things to do than there was at home, and the technology is really amazing, too. So, if there are things you like about being here, maybe it's better to think about them some of the time instead of just thinking about all the bad things. And... maybe we'll all get to go back sometime soon. There's always hope.
I guess that's all I wanted to say.

Um, my birthday party is going to be on Sunday. Sorry it got delayed for so long! Um, lots of things came up, but everything is better now, so... It's on Sunday, at two o'clock, again, but it's not really going to be a big deal or anything like that. Gilbert's making dinner and a cake, though! It'll be fun.
