I've noticed many people here that are from your homeland. Perhaps I could introduce you to a few of them? You'd at least have something in common to talk about. The trick to making friends is finding something you have in common so you can talk about that for a while, and then on your second meeting learn new things about your acquaintance. Of course, you can always make friends with people you have nothing in common with, but it is rarer.
