I miss cooking. Does anybody else here like to cook? Does anybody want to cook together sometime? We could make lots of nice things... well, if you have a kitchen we can use, but we could make lots of nice food together.
Oh, and if anybody can bring any food along for us to cook with, that would be really great too!

I could? Really? Thank you lots and lots!
I really just want to cook, but there are lots of others who are suggesting things too- like cake, and pasta. I could cook you some things if you like! If I was using your kitchen, it'd be a fun thank-you.

A crostata would be quite welcome if you wanted to leave a 'thank you.'

[He doesn't look any scarier than German now, come on.]

[Italy's scared of lots of things- from people even a little bit taller than him to hissing cats!]

What's your favourite kind of things to make, ve?
[He thinks that someone who'll talk about food and let him use their kitchen can't be all that scary really.]

I like to bake breads, actually. Or sweet rolls. Saluted spinach and mushrooms. Cakes for the children. Roasts with vegetables. I have a fairly quick pasta recipe, made from canned anchovies and tomatoes, with fresh basil and plenty of goat cheese - even the children will eat that. Tomatoes roasted in Sherry with bread. I grew up in Germany and Poland so a lot of what I learned to cook as boy was German, but I've travelled a great deal and picked up a few dishes from various places.
