Well that was some surprise last night wasn't it? I swear, you can't escape extremists in this world. They're either trying to get you to convert to Catholicism or sacrifice some animal. Who knows, but this morning's article has me feeling rather uneasy. The fact that these cultists want to disconnect the life support systems of the hospitals is ( Read more... )

......Hello Dr. Watson. This is Charles Xavier, we spoke briefly when you arrived.

[[ He folds his hands on the table he's sitting at in the kitchen of Jubilee's house, where he's staying. His expression is a firm and rigid, military-esque and not at all the kindly professor his home world knew. ]

Care to join me and another for tea? [ There's some things he'd like to discuss with you that have little to do with employment opportunities. ]

[He's a bit surprised to see Dr.? Mr.? Well, whatever. Mr. Xavier, then, on his screen. His expression wasn't what matched with their previous conversation, but of course that had been through text and tones always got misinterpreted there. When he was invited to tea, he smiles. Of course he thought it might have been for employment opportunities.]

Sure thing. Where will I be meeting you?

[ Still looking serious but loosening his face at the prospect of tea and intelligent company, and DOING SOMETHING, anything, to move forward that didn't involve sitting around and watching the wretched news, he even manages a tight smile. ]

Doctor Xavier. [ He makes no attempt to explain where the answer to the unspoken question comes from. ]

You'll be meeting myself and the other Doctor Xavier [ He makes no attempt to preface or explain this either, because he is tired, and mostly, because it secretly amuses him ] at Kahve [located here]. How does lunch, noon sound?

[Oh thank God that mystery was solved, but he was a little put off that he seemed to know the internal struggle John had been having. He shakes it off with a simple furrow of his brow before returning his attention to the conversation at hand. His eyes widen slightly when Dr. Xavier then mentions another Dr. Xavier. Sherlock had mentioned people coming from different points in time and had asked specifically what was the last thing he had remembered. Well, it couldn't have been terrible, right?]

That sounds good.

[ He almost laughs. ] Don't worry, there aren't two of me. The other doctor is a close relation. Do you have transportation or will you be needing a guide?

Um, I think a guide will be good. I haven't familiarized myself with the city yet.

Are you at the newcomer apartments? Kahve isn't far from there. I'll walk you and Michael can join us later.

[ Sorry for the delay. I'll start a log today. :o) ]
