- An article reports on a monster that is wreaking havoc on the City. The monster is huge, eyewitnesses state, and resembles a large furless bear crossed with a Mutation. The creature was first sighted in the Slum and Industrial districts, where it didn't do much harm due to the lack of people generally out and about in these areas, but the monster is being tracked as moving closer to more inhabited areas of the City, particularly Sector 4, and casualties are on the rise. The article warns that this creature is not a Darkness monster, as it has been seen during the day, and is likely eating the people it runs into. The article warns caution, as the creature has been noted to be nearly undamageable - it heals quickly and shakes off attacks from most firearms and weapons, as well as many abilities.
- Well-known magician Lou Shin recently passed away, leaving behind a generous storeroom of her most treasured (and some not-so-treasured) magical items and prop pieces. The collection includes trick cards, flowers, sawboxes, and many other similar magic performance items. The collection also includes a few arcane items. The article notes that the items in this collection may or may not be magical, as Ms. Shin refrained from sharing her secrets with her living relatives, and it is unknown if the items are magic, if she was magic, or if it was all sleight of hand. The items are being sold at extremely low prices, as the family has no further use for them, though most items do not come with instructions for use. The arcane items will be auctioned off at higher prices with the proceeds to support Ms. Shin's remaining family.
