[The feed reveals, mostly, an extremely sooty cloak, at the head of which is a serious-looking Raven. She's avoided getting any injuries by flying around and careful use of her telekinesis, and it seems she's been pulling wreckage off the building, looking for surviving victims. She raises a glowing hand and another metal strut flies off.]

Then what do you suggest they do instead?

The alternatives aren't easy, but fighting them with terrorism, especially the kind that isn't directed right at the companies, isn't helping. That invites a crackdown, with public sentiment in their favor. It sounds sappy, but we need to change their minds. And take down the worst of them when necessary.

No, I'm suggesting we fight when we have to. Also known as not being homicidal.

Who's to say this wasn't a "fight when we have to" situation?

Because innocent people are stuck in this wreckage. Because someone felt the need to blow up completely unaffiliated buildings.

You have no idea why those bombs were set off in the first place.

And you do?

No. But I'm not passing judgment on them.

I think bombing innocents is a situation where it's okay to pass judgment first and revise it later if need be. Not that I can imagine what would require this. Just look at it. This place is devastated. People lived here.

Yeah. I'm sure you can't imagine what would require it.

What's that supposed to mean?

It means you haven't experienced these bastards first hand.

You have?

The point is that there's now a bunch of innocent people with a reason to have a grudge against these people. Which means Newcomers, because it probably was some of us. People who've experienced this firsthand.

That's their problem. That lab would have probably taken one of them in at some point.

[She notes the lack of response to the first question, though it doesn't really tell her anything. People who were might not want to talk about it, after all.]

It'll become our problem when they start doing the same thing to us.
