[As per usual, Roman is wearing a dress shirt and tie. Today, however, he's also wearing a red construction helmet with a light attached and a white apron that says 'Kiss the Cook'. Despite the background hum of a power generator somewhere, the kitchen he's in has lit candles scattered around it. The flickering shadows play off the hollows of his skull.]

[He pauses. There's a thud from outside as a Darkness creature throws itself against something in a futile attempt to break in. Roman doesn't appear to notice it at all, although his leer might seem to spread. It's difficult to tell.]
At any rate, since we're all cooped up inside and the Darkness monsters have been particularly ornery lately, I got to thinking about survival. We've all faced obstacles and we all have our ways of coping, or else we wouldn't be alive. I'm not just talking about the physical dangers out there; the mental strain of every day life is enough to send some people spiraling into the abyss of madness.
