[Even in the ensuing chaos, there is calm in the midst of the storm. His voice is steadfast, a breath of summer's warmth for those who wish to receive it.]

Hold fast to that which you hold dear.

Do not fear the Dark.

[That said, he turns his attention to the matter at hand. He is out tonight, as he will be every night until this crisis ends. ( Read more... )

There are times when it can be, dear heart.

Yet it need not be so.

action! - Sector 1, the 18th, around 10 pm ebony_mask February 19 2011, 03:34:57 UTC
[Roman's keeping a brisk pace as he makes his way down the street, his arms folded across his chest and his hands resting on the comforting weight of the handles of the two semi-automatics he has holstered around him. He has yet to come across living or Darkness creatures, but there's something to be said for being always prepared.

Except for the large, strange lion he spots as he comes around a corner. He freezes and presses himself against the building, not daring even to breathe, lest it spots him.

Then again, he's not sure he could run if he wanted; it's unlike any lion he's ever seen before. He's paralyzed, unable to tear his eyes away from it. The sight of it fills him with a mixture of dread, horror, and wonder.]

["It" spots him. Golden eyes turn, seeking out the face so unlike his own. Aslan does not speak, however, merely fixing Roman with his stare.

He knows him well.]

[His fingers tighten around the handles of the guns as the lion meets him in a stare. There was no chance of sneaking back around the corner without the lion seeing him, not now. The intelligence in those golden eyes terrifies him and he wants nothing more than to run away, but it would undoubtedly catch him and tear him to pieces. No; better to stay still and hope it loses interest.]

[Fat chance of that. Though he makes no move to approach or speak, his eyes stay on Roman's. Watching. Whether the man chooses to talk or flee, he has no intention of harming him.]

[He'll run into Aslan at some point and go looking for him once he knows his block is secure.]

What kinda wimp would fear the dark?

It is that which dwells within it that people fear the most.

[ooc: herpderp, permission for him to notice her light is missing? Or no?]

What? The stupid monsters? Ha! They're not scary.

[ooc: Go right ahead!]

It depends on how one sees them.

Just fear what's in the dark?

Voice. aslandish February 19 2011, 04:48:55 UTC
It has its place, as much as bearers of the Light.

One need not fear, only be wary of that which it holds.

And how'd you classify just being wary?

Voice. aslandish February 19 2011, 05:15:28 UTC
To acknowledge that which is present without fear, knowing there is danger without allowing it to take hold.
