Living in a city that turns into a nightmare half the time is something most people would want to forget, I think. Forgetting about it won't make it go away, of course, but maybe that's why the city always seems to be celebrating something.

They always seem to be mourning as well. I wonder that the funeral parlors here are not more aggressive in their advertisements.

I don't know if it's true, and I haven't spoken to anyone who claimed to have come back from the dead, myself. But that seems to be the case: sometimes the dead are revived in this city.

I wouldn't want to test that theory first-hand, though, if you know what I mean.
