Aaah! Really?

Happy birthday Miss Haruhi!

But aren't you kind of young to be her father, Mr. Tamaki?

Yes, really! It is a wonderful day indeed--the happiest day! Because without this day, we would not have Haruhi! We would not be able to bask in the warmth of her charming and blunt presence! We should thank the day itself, for providing us with Haruhi!

[COMPLETELY IGNORING THE FATHER QUESTION!]

[It is okay it is quickly forgotten with this one.]

YEAH! Miss Haruhi is super nice! She taught me to read a book about birds this week!

Ah, really? So she is tutoring you? Well, you could not ask for a finer teacher--Haruhi is the most intelligent young lady that I have ever met! And I'm not only saying that out of fatherly affection--though of course I have a great deal of fatherly affection for her! No, no, I would say that unmotivated, too!

What sort of birds are you reading about?

North American birds -- so I can learn about the kinds of birds here in Canada!

Ah, an excellent suggestion! Practical as always, that Haruhi! But--surely she has you reading other books as well, yes?

Oh yes, all kinds! It's so wonderful to be able to read!

That it is! There are, after all, many wonderful books, and it is more than a shame to think of someone having to go through life, being unable to read these classic tales!

But--young man, may I ask how old you are?

No sir, I never got to go to school.

A hundred-- Oh, but how wonderful, how wonderful indeed! Please, dear student of Haruhi's, you must tell me your name!

Mr. Finnian, then! Truly, it is a real honour to meet you! After all, any friend of Haruhi's is a friend of mine--but the honour is further compounded, now that I know your origins! I did not know that I had the pleasure of speaking with someone from a different time period!
