[The NV clicks on purposefully around ten in the morning, even if Minako isn't talking to the network. No, she wants this recorded just in case.]
...I still don't think we can fill that big of an order in nine days. We keep getting orders and requests and I just don't think we can handle that much. [Her voice is upbeat.] I'm really sorry about that. Maybe we can work out a half-and-half charge?
[There's some faint sounds in the background of movement, boots on the floor.] "You know, if you expanded the shop, it'd be easier for you, wouldn't it? Someone mentioned that you wanted to expand-"
[A beat.] Oh, that. We were hoping that our Valentine's sales would help to expand the greenhouse a little. But that's not for another month at least.
"We could help fund you, you know." [The footsteps have drawn closer to the NV.] "We could even get you a much bigger building. You could pretty it up, really make something of it." [A pause.] "How many workers did you say you had?"
[Minako is silent a moment and then, stiffly, replies with:] We have enough here, thanks. I don't really want your help.
"Come on. A kid like you? Don't you think it'd be so much easier to let someone else run this place? You'd still get a large cut, sure, but then it'd give you time to go out and have fun." [The man draws a little closer.] "Or, you know, work at the hospital, take a few more classes..."
I want you to leave. [The silence that follows is almost painful. There's no video feed or holographic image to show how surprised the two men there are, nor is there anything to show how tense Minako is. Or how angry. Her voice doesn't give it away.] We're not interested in affiliation. And I really should get back to work.
[Again, more silence. But then one of them just chuckles softly, no malice behind it. He just sounds amused.] "Suit yourself, kid. Nice chatting with you today."
[The door jingles as it opens and then closes. There's about thirty seconds of silence before Minako sighs and turns off the NV.]
