Monsters?
[Where he left off, there was only one that could be considered a monster of sorts. And that wasn't plural. The hooded figure lifts his head slightly.]

That depends. Those sirens you just heard were an alert - from now until daylight the entire island will be swarmed with them. Some of them are stronger than others, but the weaker ones tend to gang up a lot more often. They're of fairly high intelligence but they cannot get indoors unless you leave a door or window open.
Many of them are fast and some of them spit acid or fire over long distances, making even ranged combat difficult.
As far as your storms go, this place appears to be free of them. For now. Considering the oddities that go on within the chaotic confines of this precious cage, there may yet be time. There are many storms that take place within these invisible walls and not all of them are the kind that can be sheltered from. There are none yet who intentionally break free.
The Core is the source of your arrival here, although whether it has any tie to the monsters is unknown. Considering the power it has, it has a high probability. Without confirmation, however, theory remains theory. The howl of the sirens comes from an unknown source. Like the call of the banshee of myth. A call to death and pain. Yet even death remains unreliable here.
With feelings, anyone who heard this information would say that is a relief. Then again, this is just like trading one set of problems for another...I see death is yet another temporary end of existence...
...You worded this all very poetically. I may even say I am impressed by the explanation itself.
[A hand lifts with dramatic poise, gloved fingers lightly touching against his chest.]
There are a few of us existing without emotions. Without hearts. Perhaps there are even more. I do not know who else is here from my original world, but there is always the possibility of us appearing if the Core is as you say.
Not many can. But we had time to grow accustomed to our state of existence, and that soon turned in a new direction. In fact, I was in the process of acquiring the resources necessary for such a demanding project.
[A heavy weight attaches to his tone, low and cold.]
[Liquid's voice is cool, but his posture suggests wariness. There's just this odd feeling about this video.]

And how bad are these...monsters you speak of?

An island...
For some reason, this all sounds rather familiar.
Reply
Familiar it may be, I have no idea. Perhaps you've been in a similar situation before.
Reply
Indeed, I have...except it happened within a reality storm. And not only during the night...
...Do you not recognize the term?

[Sounds like something out of a sci-fi novel.]

"With feelings" does sound a unique way to say it. Almost as if you were referring to someone without them.

You feel nothing?

Nothing at all.
After all...I am only a mere shell of what I use to be.

[That's definitely an intimidating thought.]
Can you not regain it?

Unfortunately, it fell through.
