[ a woman's voice... sort of takes Cross off-guard. and she sounded like she was at least familiar with the name... hrm. Cross pauses before replying in a level tone. ]
I know him. I need to know where he is. He has some valuable information I need. [ which was much more than Cross wanted to reveal to a stranger, but hey. gotta keep civvies safe. ] You know him?
[THIS ALL SOUNDED LIKE A THREAT TO HER. But then again, she's paranoid by nature. She needed to try to gauge the level of threat this man was though, so she attempted to keep herself somewhat level-minded.
An indignant sort of sniff escaped through her nose, before she continued.]
If he wants you to know, he'll let you know.
[She went into a pensive silence at his question, trying to figure out how she should answer that.] Eeeheehee -- I might. How do you know him.
[Because being vague was always the first approach to take.]
[ Cross gave another brief pause before a short bark of a laugh transmitted. ] What are you, his girlfriend? You're awfully protective of a murderer. [ not that Cross could really say much about that... ]
And how I know him isn't important. I've said more than I need to already.
[ Cross clicked his tongue in mild irritation. ] It does matter, unless you're with the military. [ like he ... had been. ] Civilians shouldn't be mingling with Alex. He's not stable. [ though that didn't stop Cross from mingling. ]
And what I need to know is between Alex and myself. My personal business isn't a public forum. All anyone needs to know is that I need to find him.
What section? [ if she was going to play this game, Cross wasn't going to stop her. ] If you were in the military, you'd know exactly why he's a problem.
Never heard of it. [ wasn't surprising. didn't that guy tell him something about this? Cross didn't really want to believe half the crap that guy said, however. ] It doesn't matter, anyway. I find it very hard to believe that he's just been laying low for however long he's been here.
Well, AGI and SERO are the talk of the town, heehee. So therefore, they're the ones causing the most problems.
[Not that they were causing her problems...yet. But she had enough first hand experience in being experimented on and being made a slave to the government to have issues with both companies.]
Aha. Not to mention there are a few others that like to hurt people for no reason, seemingly.
I'm still trying to find the whereabouts of a "Scarecrow", eehee.
[...even if he recently disappeared from the city. Not that she knows that.]
I know there's others, but I don't know any names specifically. There's also a group of "Newcomer Killers" -- hahaha -- but they haven't been in the news for a while.
She calms herself down, but figured she better find out what the hell this guy's deal was.]
Eheh. Why do you need to know that?
[...but she's still going to be pissy.]

[It's practically a whole city of murderers up in here...including her.]
You said it yourself -- eheh -- it doesn't matter how I know him.
[Girlfriend though? Haha, as if she could even understand the concept of that.]
What do you need to know anyway?

I don't know what your problem is, but I've never had any issue with him.

Outer Heaven, haha. Maybe he was a problem in your world, but he hasn't been a nuisance here.
[...not yet anyway. Well okay, maybe he was. But whatever. That didn't really matter to her anyway.]

There's bigger problems than him here, you know.
Heh. [When she continues, there's an almost taunting tone to her voice.] But I guess you'll be finding that out soon enough.

...Fantastic. At least they make themselves easier to find with a name like that.
