[Someone's not showing her face this time - the thought of spending a important day like a birthday (even if it was a made up date) without any of her friends in a town that was still largely unfamiliar is getting her down more than she'd like to admit.]

what do people do for birthdays here? i know people give presents, like back home, but there are lot of new things here, so i thought maybe there were new things that people do by now... just curious!!
