Well, as those of you who saw my last transmission should remember, I experienced a small … mishap. Fear not, I'm well on my way to recovery. And while I'm not yet ready to take on the monsters of the Darkness in a physical confrontation, I know there are other ways I can be of assistance ( Read more... )

You're a paranormal researcher? Which pantheons and mythos?

Would it be boastful to say "all of them"? That's an exaggeration, of course, but it was necessary in my work to be fluent in many types of lore. You could call be a researcher of all trades.

Really? How much do you know about Blackfoot or the German Fae? I'm interested in a particular line of research under those two mythos.

Ah, a little bit. I know of the Blackfoot creation myths and a sizable amount regarding Hödekin, kobolds and lorelei. Are you trying to find something specific, or is it just a casual interest?

[A pause and the sound of coffee percolating]

I'm looking, specifically, for the legends surrounding a Fae called Siebold Adelbertsmiter or Adelbertskrieger, sometimes called the Dark Smith of Drontheim. He might be Norwegian or possibly, German.

The Blackfoot... how much do you know about their magic?

And no, this isn't just casual interest.

Adelbert's warrior ... it's not familiar to me. I do, however, recall something about the Dark Smith of Drontheim. There's a mention of him in the legend of how Kitterland came to be. The story is Norwegian in origin, so that may be closer to what you're seeking.

As for the Blackfoot magic, I'm afraid there's not much I can do for you.

Unfortunately, that's the story I know. I was hoping perhaps someone knew more than me. [Damn Zee for being so cagey.]

And that's alright. I'm coming to realize that apparently there were some secrets the Native Americans kept. I'm Mercy Thompson, by the way.

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. Sorry I can't be of more help. But if I come across anything in my research, I'll be sure to inform you.
