[The NV is set down and displays the rather boring ceiling, although a second later, the towel from her hair flies high in the air, followed by the robe she just had on! NINJA WARDROBE CHANGE. She calls to the NV as she changes.]

Why couldn't they put you in tower one?!

[He just sat there silent, other then talking to the other two people on this... wrist thing he didn't have before. His belly rumbled again and he groaned, looking out to the rain and dark out his window.]

Is something wrong? [Other then being here that is. Is something wrong with Shikamaru. Ah, but he moved, standing and walking to the door, opening it and looking out into the hall to wait. He looked back down to the wrist communicator.]

[Less than a minute later... Ino comes from the other direction, silent as a NINJA, and jumps onto his back from behind with her arms hooked around the front of his neck. Whee!]

[Lets herself drop back down and then goes to check him out from the front -- if Shikamaru supposedly had gone to some other place for a few years after leaving Konoha (which ow ow ow it made no sense), she needed to see if this Chouji was like... the same. It seemed he was but she still squinted at him carefully as she examined him.]

[He's dressed as normal, just... dirty, left over from battle. Clearly distressed, and a little sick from the ride over, but he gave a small smile down to the blonde girl, watching her dart inside her and comment on the couch.]

It was here when they showed me the place... [And yes, he heard that sound. It made his tummy rumble even louder so suddenly. He stepped back into the apartment, frowning. But first...] Ino... what's going on?

[Would feel worse about being no help at all to Chouji in explaining things if she wasn't so relieved to have someone else to struggle/flounder with. Perches on the arm of the couch (after removing her shoes, thank you) with her feet on the cushion so she can watch him.]

Ahhhh... well, it's complicated, right? Take off that armor and sit down, maybe someone on your NV will explain better than me.

[He moved in to take a seat on the couch as well. He didn't remove the armor yet, though he fiddled with the wrist guards and his NV again. Looking down at it.]

Some people have explained. The Greeter as well. [He rubbed his belly, a small oohooh sound before falling back into the couch more.] The village was under attack. [He looked over at her. She looked alright.] You're okay?

[Blinks rapidly as his bellyrub and whiny fatty sound reminded her what she stuck in her pack.] Ah--

[BUT as she slips a hand in to retrieve the snack she brought him, he mentions the village being under attack. She looks surprised, but hands over the pre-packaged ham sandwich anyway, leaning forward to let him reach it.]

Nn! What attack do you mean, specifically...? Pein?

[Pre packaged ham sandwich? Oh dear, as it was offered to him he sat up, took it, and was already opening it with a much stronger temperament now. Oh man, food.] Ino... [It was a grateful sound as he said her name, taking a bite already. It wasn't that great, but it tasted divine at the moment.]

Yes. That was him. [Said around a second mouth full of sandwich. He finished the bite and cleared his throat.] Konoha was destroyed by him...
