[ The video flicks on and off a couple of times to reveal a nose before the owner of the new NV realises what he's doing, a breathless yelp behind the feed as it finally slams On.]

- unzel! Rapunzel, are you there, can you hear me? Great, stuck in a new city and even Max is gone. Where could she be?

That sounds like it would have been pretty painful, climbing up someone's hair. [ She winces at the thought. ] I'm sorry, sir, but I haven't seen anyone that looks like that. I think I'd remember someone with so much hair.

So the Greeters already told you about the monsters- all of that is true. You'll know when they're coming out if you hear the sirens at night. Once that happens, it's important that you get inside somewhere as soon as possible.

I'd rather stay out here, in case she turns up somehow.

Thanks for the information, tiny girl. And, usually? Her hair's so long she never feels the pinch, I guess.

That's really not a good idea. At the very least you should go to the dugouts - if she does turn up, that's where she'll be. Those monsters - they're not like ordinary monsters, they're extremely dangerous and... Tiny girl?

Oh! My name is Kairi, actually. And I guess that makes sense, if her hair really is as long as you say. [ Kairi could never imagine having hair that long - it must grow like a /weed/ ]

I would have considered any monster to be dangerous, girly, kind of goes with the name.

Mine's Flynn Rider, I just arrived. What's with all the buildings? They're huge, are we - oh, no. Is this all a part of a different kingdom to Corona?

[ MUST. GET OUT. ]

So then you know it's a bad idea to press your luck and be out in the open when the sirens go off. . . . and it's Kairi.

But it's nice to meet you, Flynn. The buildings? That's perfectly normal - some of them are businesses, and some are residences. Like the Tower Apartments. The Greeters mentioned the landlord gives all newcomers a month free rent, right? After that you have to find a place to stay - and of course, you need to get a job.

Corona... no no, this place is called Sirens Port. Canada. [ A frown. ] You're not.. in your world.

The girl I'm looking for would have even less of a chance of surviving in a fight than I would. Look, I don't have a death wish but it's important that I find her.

[ And to all the rest; ]

Right. A job?

[ This is a face of a man who's not exactly thrilled at the prospect. ]

Who says I need to find one, the guys at the diamond lawn? Aha, I honestly don't think they cared beyond shuffling me out of their way.

The Greeters would keep her safe until you could get to her - you won't be doing anyone any favors if you get hurt because you didn't go inside when the monsters are out there. So the dugout is the safest place you can be though, if you really insist on staying out - at least then you'd be able to see her arrive.

And ... well... some of the Greeters may not be particularly concerned, but that doesn't mean all of them are like that. [ Kairi for example, wasn't. ]

Yes, a job. [ Amused at the expression. ] And it's the standard for anyone in this place. Housing, food, and all the rest - it's not free.

Of course! Cooking, cleaning, the minimum wage - if there even is one, I wouldn't know - fantastic, can't wait! I'll get right on that.

Sarcasm, right? Let me guess; you've never worked a day in your life.

I work, don't get me wrong! Probably a lot harder than your average butcher, baker or candlestick maker ever could, but it's not exactly ...

Routine.

Really? What sort of work do you do then? Or rather, what sort of work did you do back in your world?

Oh, just, y'know, freelance, whatever took my fancy at the time.

Then you're a - like a jack of all trades. You shouldn't have any trouble finding work at all then, in this place.

Oh - were you warned about the anti newcomer sentiment?

If I was, they thought they were being ironic and did it very politely. No, they didn't.

[ She hms. Shame on those Greeters. ]

All right - well, unfortunately some locals here - they don't like our being here. I mean, people from other worlds. They've been known to give some newcomers a bit of trouble.

There's also someone who was going around - he .. he killed a few newcomers. I don't think he's been caught yet, so you should be careful.
