The winds of adventure seem to have taken his rogue demon hunter to lands unknown. The lands of ... British Columbia. But fear not, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce is here. Here to vanquish whatever evils may threaten humanity once the sirens go out.

[Despite his eager words, he sounds nervous as shit.]

Do you always talk like that?

I have no idea what you're referring to.

You called yourself a rouge demon hunter. Come on, nobody does that just casual-like. You gotta think about it before you start off with that.

And it's Canada, by the way. Oye, can they still be lands unknown if you know em?

Yes, I'm a rogue demon hunter. A lone wolf, cutting a bloody swath of heroism wherever I may go.

... Er, uh, well, I've ... never been to Canada before.

I think I'm gonna start callin' meself that. [There's a laugh in his voice, but he clears his throat.] Anyway, welcome, then. You'll have a hell o' a lot o' time to get used to it, cuz you's stuck here.

[Pause.] Moose, maybe.

You can't just call yourself a rogue demon hunter. It's a title that needs to be earned after defeating a plethora of demons.

What do you mean, stuck here? Moose?

Well, first off, I can too, I've defeated tons o' them. Second, stuck here like you can't leave. Third, it's lone moose, since we's here in Canada. I don't think they got wolves.

Very well. You, too are a rogue demon hunter. What do you mean, stuck here? And it's a metaphor. It's not meant to be geographically correct.

I mean you can't leave. You die if you try. And I'm just sayin', you might wanna blend in. All the people down at the rouge demon hunters club call themselves lone moose. Meese? Mooses.

[There's a long silence while he tries to ... process this. And then drop the subject completely.]

The proper term is moose. It has no plural counterpart.

Which is why you could just call yourself a moose. Wouldn't even need no lone.

You ain't even gonna ask me why we's stuck here, or yell that you'll be the one to escape?

I think I'll stick with wolf for the time being. I prefer the imagery it conjures.

From what I'm beginning to understand, I'd wager it's some sort of spell. Given enough time, I'll be able to set all of us free.

You can try, but you ain't the only one with magic around here.

I don't see the problem. The more willing to contribute to the task, the more successful we will be.

Yeah, but you's missin' the point. Ain't like nobody else has tried. It don't work.
