That's the usual kind of thing that happens with fireworks, even if it's illegal to sell them to people underage. But you're right, I'm sure it won't be long at all.

I'm more worried about fireworks being used as weapons, if I'm honest. I've seen it done before.

Every New Year, after the celebrations are over. There's not much gunpowder in fireworks, but it ignites fast and bright. Enough to stun or blind people. The police have a lot of trouble with the whole thing.

I had guests, yes, but it was more work than anything else. I had a file I wanted to discuss.

Edits: To tell you the truth, it was partially a work meeting. They were helping me with something that I'm working on--so it wasn't all fun. But I enjoyed the time nonetheless.

Still seems like a bit much to be worryin' about it on your birthday. But I guess if that's what you feel like you need to do.

That reminds me though, I've got somethin' I want to ask you about when you get the chance. Doesn't need to be anytime soon if you're busy, it's not urgent, just somethin' I was hoping you might know about since you're with the police.
