I have to say, Christmas was far more overwhelming than Yule ever was back home! Even though I've only been here a few weeks, I still can't wrap my head around many things. Why...if the book I was reading in the library is right, the place I came from is comparable to what the 17th century was like here. That's...four hundred years ago!

[A pause.] Ah but it's amazing, really! Although I really don't understand how music can fit onto plastic, glass discs. Sure, you can record music with ink, quill and a piece of parchment but glass certainly isn't something that's easy to write on.
[His nose scrunches up as he thinks about it, trying to figure out just as to why someone would ever want to do such a thing. It seemed so counter productive, after all. But his demeanor changes a minute later and he's smiles and excitement again, lifting up a baroque lute into view.]
Oh! And how could I forget?! Someone lovely left a lute on the doorstep! I can't believe it, it looks just like my old one~! ♥ I didn't think I'd ever manage to get my hands on one again! I felt so naked without it and lonely - as if a vital piece of me had simply been stripped away! Please, come forward kind person~ I'm immensely indebted to you now; the least I can do is write a song for you~
It's kind of upsetting how much it's been raining, why the snowman I made has probably melted away by now! Belca's been terribly grumpy too. Little Eco tries his best to make him smile but all he seems to ever want to do is grump about the place. Maaaaybe he's cold~ People are usually terribly cranky when they've a chill, aren't they? I know I'm not very found of it!
