[When the video feed first clicks on, the only thing visible is a very large eye. Whoever it is has their face pressed right up close to the NV as a nearby Greeter mumbles an explanation off-screen.]

[There was no mistaking that voice. In a flash, the pirate has snatched his shorts back up and is darting out the front door of the strip club, completely disregarding his job. This was way more important! Besides, things were a little awkward at work tonight anyway, a little too hot, even for a fire-user like Ace, after his rather filling free meal at a peculiar restaurant which resulted in the dark-haired teen feeling restless and flushed. Tips were stupendous, at least, so he couldn't complain.
Ace is very clumsily hopping into his article of clothing - thankfully his boots are still on - as he runs and, as he runs, he hits his logpose NV on. His orange hat was worn to work today, so he's also attempting to keep that on his head as he fumbles around which means Luffy's not going to be getting a very good view of his brother on the NV video. Despite all this, the teen sounds quite composed when he speaks.]

Hey.~ What's so important that you need to run off after just getting here? [His voice is curious, light, and he can't keep a perky happiness from seeping into it. He's prodding for information with his playful question. Naturally, he is slightly worried, wondering what time his little brother had arrived from... but mostly Ace is just ecstatic at the thought of seeing Luffy again after so, so long.]

[He's a liiiiittle distracted right now, what with being someplace strange and being really really damn cold and wanting to beat the crap out of whatever brought him here so that he could get back and actually go through his training because dammit his training is important, but even that's not enough to make him misplace that voice. The young captain becomes instantly re-focused on his little Den Den Mushi, staring at it with what can only be described as disbelief.]

[Ace is still running. His shorts are zipped up now but the button is simply impossible to fasten like this so he lets it go. One hand is holding his hat in place while the other is now free to coax the bobbing video into displaying Ace's freckled face. His eyes squint in amusement and he laughs, though the sound of it is off.]

Were you expecting someone different?

[That answered a lot of his questions right there. Luffy saw him die. Ace is silent after that, thinking, for a long moment. The way Luffy was acting made him believe that his brother wasn't the same Luffy (and really, how weird was that?) that had been here before, in the Spring. He should have remembered something about Siren's Pull, the core, something... then again, this was Luffy.

Ace sighs, trying to not sound as defeated as he feels just then. He'll still smile, for his brother.]

It's complicated... I'm coming to get you so don't wander off!

[Hey now, his memory isn't that ba-- wait, yes it is, sorry. But he hasn't been stuck in this place before, that's for sure.

Luffy's eyebrows furrow again.] Complicated? [How can that be complicated. :I Does not compute.] Ah, I gotta stay here? But it's cold! [HE WANTS TO GO INSIDE. It doesn't even cross his mind to wonder how Ace knows where he is.] You better hurry up!

[Ace conveniently arrives around this time, appearing behind Luffy. Monetary bills are poking out of various places in his shorts and he's still shirtless as he casually kicks Luffy in the back. Here's your greeting, little brother. There's enough force behind the friendly move that it could knock the other pirate flat. Serves him right for disappearing months back and then--of all the stupid things--getting stuck on the island AGAIN.]

[Well gee thanks, big bro. Your shivering (and still injured) little brother promptly faceplants into the ground from that kick, though he doesn't stay down long. Luffy jerks his face up, sputtering out a mouthful of dirt and grass, ready to turn around and beat the crap out of whoever did that-- But hey, that's Ace's voice!

The younger brother bounces back to his feet, mouth stretched into a wide smile as he lays eyes on his brother.]

Ah, ACE!! It really is you! Shishishi~ [And instead of giving Ace a manly brotherly handshake in greeting, the younger D surges forward to tightly encase the freckled pirate in a rubbery hug.] I'm so glad you're okay after all!!

[It was a kick filled with love, that's why it was so effective. He watches his brother get up and sees the realization dawn when Luffy's eyes land on him. Ace isn't fully prepared for the glomp he receives and, though he doesn't budge from the spot he's standing in, his cocky smile falters for a moment as his own arms wrap around the other boy. Only for a moment, then he's earnestly mussing Luffy's black hair with both hands.]

Have a little more faith in me next time. What are you thinking, coming back to this place? Giving up on your dream already?

[That settles it. This Luffy hadn't been to Siren's Port. Ace had seen this before so he merely accepts it. He may have missed his little brother, but that's enough clinging so he starts pushing him back. With a finger to the forehead.]

My mistake. You'd remember an island you'd been on. Or would you?
