Missing Child; Are Newcomers to Blame?
Cynthia Catchwater, a nine-year-old girl is being reported as missing yesterday evening, just before the sirens went off. The article reports that the little girl was last seen not far from the baseball diamond and Tower Apartments. Eyewitnesses say they saw the little girl talking to a person clad in black, though descriptions of the person aren't consistent or clear. One report says they heard the soft voice of a lady speaking to Cynthia, while another says it was a man. Law enforcement are at wit's end trying to find a reliable lead or concrete witness in this case.
The writer of the article heavily implies that, due to her last seen location, the girl was probably taken by a newcomer for any number of sordid reasons, and requests that all City residents please be careful around any newcomers. This is particularly stressed where children are concerned.
