Why is it such a big deal to become a teenager?

It isn't yours too, is it?

Sort of- It's his. I kind of just borrowed- adopted it, really.

Then happy birthday, I guess. How old are you?

Sixteen. He's seventeen- should be eighteen, really, but because Siren's Port swapped time all around on us...it's weird.

Technically, though, I'll have existed a year, myself, with my own memories...sometime in the early half of March.

It's complicated.

I only have memories of the last two years, and the last six months or so here in Siren's Port. So I can kind of relate.

You're real though.... I mean, before you can remember, you did exist...right?

Sometimes I wonder. My brother says I existed back then, and remembers when I was born, but I was a completely different person. So much that my own mother doesn't recognize me.

I used to think I'd make the old Ritsuka come back if I could. It would solve all the problems, but, there are a lot of things I don't know. I don't even know why I stopped remembering.

What was the old Ritsuka like?

Cheerful. Popular. Not all that good in school.

You can't be cheerful or popular anymore? Or it just doesn't feel like you, when you try?

[little_bandages]

It isn't me. I don't really like being around other kids or being noisy. I'm not cheerful. I prefer reading and studying.

Then...just be what your heart tells you.

I am.

Even when everyone else wants me to be someone other than me, I'll walk my own path.
