I'll move to the living room.
[When Ken gets there, Nagi is flopped out on his couch, only wearing a tank top and boxers. It may or may not be obvious that he's lost weight from not having the energy to eat much.
[Ken knocked quietly, more to announce that he was there and a warning that he was coming in than a request for permission--Nagi said he'd left it unlocked, so it wasn't more than a moment before Ken opened the door on his own, walking in carrying a heavy canvas bag. He stops short when he catches sight of Nagi on the couch.]
[Ken can set the bag down in the kitchen, since he has to walk through that to get to the living room. Nagi yawns and sits up enough to look at Ken more directly.]
[He fishes out a bottle of Gatorade from the bag--he has powdered mix too, but figured he'd grab a bottle of the stuff anyway--and sets the bag down on the floor for a second to cross the room and set the bottle down within Nagi's reach. Ordinarily he'd just toss it, but Nagi doesn't look much up to catching at the moment.]
I'll go heat up the soup quick, but here's this.
[He walks back over to grab the bag again, and moves into the kitchen. He refuses to use the microwave to heat it up on principle, so Nagi'll probably hear a bit of rummaging as he looks for a pot.]
[Gatorade's good for dehydration, right? Nagi hopes it is, since the thought of drinking it is far more appealing than simple water at the moment. He moves to get the bottle and nods his thanks.]
I'm pretty sure you can't get what I have that easily.
[Bad joke about how close Ken was getting. Once he retreats into the kitchen, Nagi drinks most of the bottle in a long chug.]
The cupboard to the right of the stove has a couple pots.
If I don't get sick spending my days around elementary school kids, I think I'm fine around you.
[srsly elementary schools could be a new vector for the bubonic plague.
The rummaging noises stop as Nagi directs him to the pots, at least he found the plates and bowls while he was at it. There's crinkling as he opens a package of crackers he brought with too.]
I'm putting some more soup in your fridge, okay? Should be enough for a couple more bowls.
[Or one really big one, if you're so inclined.]
Have you changed the sheets and blankets on your bed lately, or are you sleeping in a cocoon of disease?
