[Angry now, because Mags takes failure HARD and there is a lot of self-hatred going on.]

I tried the role of Conquistador. All I accomplished was ruining my children's lives. I tried the role as separatist. My people perished for it. I tried the role as teacher, to find a gentler path and watched an innocent slain. I tried the role of leader, to be respected of the world's governments and my people and my county are nothing but ash.

I know. [There's a heaviness to his voice that wasn't present before. His grief for the suffering Magneto and others have suffered is genuine.] Grief is great, but most of all for those who bear such burdens.
