Back home... [A pause.]
Oyashiro-sama was said to punish those that left the village. Collective hysteria... influenced reactions... or even the work of Oyashiro-sama himself, should he exist. I seem to have been here a few weeks now and yet there is nothing. I wonder if that is proof that it was little more than hysteria, or if Oyashiro-sama simply cannot reach this place. My investigations into him have had to stop while I was here.
But then, back home... people would disappear too. People were said to be stolen away by the demon. Sometimes their bodies would turn up... or something they'd be simply gone. I wonder if the disappearances here are due to someone taking offence to their actions. Removing them - perhaps even brainwashing them - and returning them occasionally.
In the end, I suppose, I won't know unless I disappear too. If that happens, I'm keeping a notebook on major events here- and on my discoveries about the monsters. It won't be easy to find, but feel free to look, if I disappear. Make it a game. If the enemy find it first, if there is an enemy... everyone loses.

On the bright side, I'm starting to get into a proper routine at last. Skye is far faster paced than I'm used to, but it's a pleasant enough challenge. Ah- I hope everyone's gotten their flu shots. It's getting into winter. Remember, if you're over fifty or have young children it's important to get yourself and them vaccinated. Influenza can be very dangerous.
