[The video flickers when sudden impact against the face of a grandfather clock jolts it on. There is a sudden sound of a little girl's wailing that permeates through the speakers, and eventually, if you stare enough at the screen and keep your eyes to the left-hand corner, there is a little shaking bundle scrunched up against the far wall. Red and white-laced, she looks vaguely as though she were drowning in air.
Her hands are pressed against her face. By her side, a large, black, spectral-looking dog is curled around her impassively, moving mechanically to lap at her tears every now a then, but lacking in that sort of empathetic emotion that makes one alive. She seems to take comfort in it, because she is leaning into the soft fur of her companion, but the tears just won't stop coming.
