[The video footage is quite dizzying for a while, mostly because Liquid meant this to be a voice post, since he's training and therefore moving quite a lot. His speed is quite remarkable, for a human. His flexibility more so. The phone seems to be fastened onto his clothes somehow.]
It seems things do come in circles. At least all of this nonsense

[Snake can guess why he's asking. But he really doesn't want to get into it with Liquid about Big Boss.]
[He hadn't even been sure what to make of Big Boss' presence during the brief time they'd coexisted here. Seeing him here had been disorienting at best and downright painful at worst. And now he was gone. If he came back...He came back. He'd deal with that when it came to it.]
What sort of work?
Reply
[The answer is sharp and immediate. There's a pause while he thinks.]
You're from around the same time as you were last time, if I'm right.
Reply
[...yeah, that's not making him suspicious at all, Liquid.]
Reply
[He's just assuming you know you're going to be living with them.]
Reply
[Nobody tells Snake anything. (Just like in canon.) But he's assuming you're talking about Outer Heaven.]
Reply
Well, we hopefully won't be sharing a room any more once we move, but let me know if I'm being too noisy when I come in. I don't want to wake Otacon.
Reply
[Skeptical. He's still not convinced Liquid isn't up to something.]
I was just curious. You're not the only one looking to chip in around here.
[They were working to keep Outer Heaven afloat for those who needed it, but now that things had settled down in Big Boss' absence, Snake is spending more time idle than he likes. He doesn't do well when he's got too much time on his hands.]
...move?
Reply
Brother... are you really so curious as all that?
[Because he will tell you. He's that much of an asshole.]
It's not your sort of work, if you're looking.
[A pause. A dark smirk crosses his lips.]
Otacon did tell you?
Reply
[Snake scowls. He really doesn't like it when Liquid smirks.]
Tell me what?
Reply
[Snicker.]
Oh, he didn't?
[That smirk widens.]
Otacon's bringing you with him when we move to Ocelot's.
Reply
Ocelot's?
Reply
[Distractions from his work! Yay!]
Otacon's been wanting out of Outer Heaven for a while. I told him he could come with me, and he said he wasn't going without you, so we decided you'd be coming too.
Reply
Awfully generous of him. What's the catch?
[...like hell he's leaving Otacon alone with Liquid and Ocelot, so yeah, he is coming if Otacon is dead set on it, but that doesn't mean he's going to go quietly.]
I'm not exactly in the habit of letting people decide things for me anymore.
Reply
[Snicker.] You haven't figured it out? Really, Brother?
[Oh, now that amuses him.]
Really, as if you wouldn't follow Otacon to the ends of the Earth.
Reply
[The flattest of flat looks for that comment, Liquid, you're his clone. And Liquid is laughing, which is never a good thing.]
Something I should know?
[He totally would. Like a scruffy, ill-tempered puppy. But that's beside the point. Or maybe it is the point, 'cause Liquid talking so casually about Otacon gets his hackles up and he growls.]
Nobody asked you.
Reply
[He hopes. He really, really hopes.]
The benefits of years in the desert... I look far better than him.
[And you, by proxy.]
No, not at all. And of course nobody did. But the truth remains the truth. You don't want to force Otacon to stay at Outer Heaven, do you? Not when he's so upset about this place... it would be cruel. But he won't leave without you, and he was so, so determined not to go far from me... I'm afraid you're stuck, Brother.
