Thanksgiving day - A celebration that denotes eating a large meal usually of turkey, with potatoes, peas, carrots and the like, along with desserts such as pumpkin pie and various jellies. Or at least, so I've heard. It never existed back in England. Like many holidays, people drink wine with their meal, or at the very least, it isn't uncommon.
Yet there are laws in place in this city that forbid me from being able to purchase a bottle of decent red wine, simply because I'm not considered old enough. How ridiculous! A drinking age. On wine.
I can't have a 'Thanksgiving Dinner' but at the very least I should be allowed to have a small glass of wine. Honestly.
The liquor stores are closed today because it's a holiday, but there must be someone willing to purchase me a bottle in the future if I paid them, yes?
